Beginners To Third Grade
Memory verses for September through May for Beginners through 3rd grade can be found below and are listed by the date which the memory verse is to be recited. If your child is absent one week, you can refer to the list to know what the next verse will be. As parents, you can have your child learn all or part of the verse, whatever you feel is best based on your child’s ability.
January 14 – vs.1: The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork.
January 21 – vs. 2: Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
January 28 – vs. 3: There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
February 4 – vs. 4: Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun.
February 11 – vs. 5: Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
February 18 – vs. 6: His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
February 25 – vs. 7a: The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul:
March 4 – vs. 7b: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
March 11 – vs. 8a: The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart:
March 18: Lord’s Supper
March 25 – vs. 8b: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
April 1: No Sunday School (Spring Break)
April 8 vs. 9: The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
April 15 – vs. 10: More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
April 22 – vs. 11: Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
April 29 – vs. 12: Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
May 6 – vs. 13a: Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me:
May 13 – vs. 13b: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
May 20 – vs. 14: Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
